MISSION
The aim of the GeoInformatics Laboratory (GIL) is to promote, facilitate,
and support applications of emerging geospatial technologies in
interdisciplinary research and education at the School of Earth
Environment and Society (SEES) as well as Bowling Green
State University (BGSU), and community service and other local partners.
GOALS
- Support geoinformatics related research and education;
- Train undergraduate and graduate students to implement the breadth and depth of knowledge in geoinformatics that is required for solving real-world problems;
- Provide training for different BGSU academic departments; and
- Promote integrative spatial approaches including mobile and web-based computation, data mining and modeling applications, cognitive visualization, and other related 3D geo-information technologies
