GIL is seeking self motivated students with critical thinking skills and a research interest in the areas of computer sciences, statistics and environmental applications that use geoinformatics. Strong programming skills in Java, OpenLayers or other languages are desirable; also, experience with web mapping applications such as GeoServer or ArcGIS Server is highly sought after. Other qualities that we seek in a GIL team member include the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, to demonstrate critical thinking in problem solving, high-level quantitative skills and a dedicated work ethic.
